Here are some common questions to help you feel more comfortable before your session.

What massage is right for me?

You don’t need to  decide that before your session if you are unsure. Simply book the time that works for you, and your treatment will be tailored on the day.

 

Rather than fitting you into a set routine, I combine techniques thoughtfully to create the most supportive treatment for you.

What can I expect from my first appointment?

We’ll begin with a short consultation to understand how you’re feeling, your medical history, and what you’d like support with. Your treatment will then be tailored specifically to you on the day, there’s no “one size fits all” approach here.​

Do I need to be in pain to book?

Not at all. Many clients book for tension, stress, overwhelm or simply to maintain how they feel. Regular support is often more effective than waiting until things feel unmanageable.

Is massage safe during pregnancy?

Yes from 12 weeks pregnancy massage is safe for the majority of expectant mothers. It can have great benefits for both mother and baby. I am trained in pregnancy massage and adapt positioning and techniques to ensure comfort and safety throughout. 

If you have specific medical concerns, we can discuss these before your appointment.

When can I have a massage postpartum?

This is dependant on how you are feeling. You will need to have had your 6 or 12 week check ( if you have had a caesarean a few adjustment to the treatment may need to be made). But most importantly it when you feel ready, which is different for everyone. Massage postpartum can have huge benefits, helping your body recover from birth, relieving tension, and reducing stress.

I feel overwhelmed and exhausted is this right for me?

Very often, yes. My approach works with both the muscles and the nervous system. If you’re feeling tense, wired, or constantly “on,” treatment can help your body shift into a more settled state.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable arriving in. During treatment you will be appropriately draped at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed.

How often should I book?

It depends on your goals. For ongoing tension or rehabilitation, sessions may be closer together initially. For maintenance and general wellbeing, many clients book every 4–6 weeks.

We can decide what feels realistic and supportive for you.

What if I feel emotional during treatment?

This can happen. The body and nervous system are closely connected, and sometimes when we finally slow down, emotions surface. You will always be supported calmly and professionally if this occurs.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments booked through the booking system require a 30% deposit. I ask for 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes where possible. I understand that unexpected situations arise and will always try to be fair and accommodating.

Do you treat men as well?

Yes. While I have specialist training in pregnancy and postnatal care, I welcome all clients seeking thoughtful, tailored treatment.

Do you offer gift vouchers or packages?

Yes. Gift vouchers and treatment packages are available and are valid for one year from the date of purchase​​​​
