Terms & Conditions

 

 

Claire Ephgrave Bodywork

 

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, treatments, packages and gift vouchers purchased from Claire Ephgrave Bodywork. By booking an appointment or purchasing a service, you agree to the following terms.

1. Booking & Deposit

A 30% deposit is required when booking via the online booking system. This deposit is deducted from the total cost of the treatment.
 
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of the appointment time.
 
For appointments arranged outside of the online booking system, Claire Ephgrave Bodywork reserves the right to request a deposit at discretion. Any deposit requirement will be confirmed at the time of booking.

 

 

2. Cancellations & Appointment Changes

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

 

• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the loss of your deposit.

• Missed appointments may be charged at 100% of the treatment cost.

 

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Genuine emergencies will always be considered at my discretion.

 

This policy is in place to protect appointment availability and the sustainability of the business.

 

3. Late Arrival

If you arrive late, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid impacting subsequent clients. The full session fee remains payable.

 

4. Payment

The remaining balance is due at your appointment.

 

Accepted payment methods:

Cash, all major card providers, bank transfer.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe (through the online booking system) and SumUp if paying in person or via a payment link. Claire Ephgrave Bodywork does not store card details.

Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.

 

All prices are listed in GBP.

 

5. Health & Medical Information

 

You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date health information at the time of booking and during consultation.

 

If your health circumstances change (including pregnancy, injury, surgery, or medical diagnosis), you must inform me prior to treatment.

 

Certain conditions may require written GP or specialist approval before treatment can proceed.

 

Treatments are provided based on the information disclosed.

Claire Ephgrave Bodywork reserves the right to refuse or adapt treatment where its deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

 

6. Packages

Treatment packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

 

• Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Unused sessions will expire after 12 months, expiry dates cannot be extended.

• Standard cancellation terms (48 hours’ notice) apply to all package bookings.

• Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in the session being deducted from the package.

Packages can be transferred to another person but remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

 

Packages are intended to support ongoing care and consistency.

 

7. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, in accordance with standard UK practice.

 

• Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Vouchers must be presented at the time of appointment.

• Standard cancellation terms apply to voucher bookings.

• Expired vouchers cannot be extended unless required by law.

Gift vouchers can be transferred to another person but remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

 

If a voucher is used for a treatment of lower value, no cash alternative will be provided. If the treatment cost exceeds the voucher value, the remaining balance must be paid.

 

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

9. Professional Boundaries

Claire Ephgrave Bodywork provides professional therapeutic massage and bodywork services only.

 

Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment being required.

 

10. Liability

 

Claire Ephgrave Bodywork accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings.

 

Treatment outcomes vary between individuals and specific results cannot be guaranteed.

 

11. Privacy

All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for full details on how your information is stored and used.

My aim is always to provide a calm, professional and supportive environment where you feel safe and cared for. These terms exist to protect both you and the business, ensuring treatments can be delivered consistently and responsibly.
